This is a good one! Nice aesthetic, decent controls and gameplay, long enough to feel satisfying, but short enough to complete in an hour or so. I wish there was a cool final boss, though. The ending was a bit confusing. I also wish the aspect ratio was better suited to computer screens, as the window doesn't fully fit on my screen.

ErikSwahn responds:

Thanks! I will remember to make aspect ratio more compatible for different screens in the future!

Has nice music and simple gameplay. Perhaps a little too simple. I could see this getting frustrating and tiresome after a while. And I can't figure out how to progress past that boot pickup. Is that just the end of the demo?

amidos2006 responds:

The boots give you a powerup that can make you do special stuff :) try holding x and move towards the gap :)

This is fun and addictive! I love all the items and upgrades, though fighting the same bosses over and over to make progress gets tedious. I don't know how to deal with that third spider boss, can't focus on the flies and everything else at the same time. Oh well.

Fun, but hard to get the hang of, especially since there doesn't seem to be any damage indicator for vehicles, so you never know when they'll just burst into flames.

Now that I think of it, I think I did play this back in the day. But nostalgia's not enough to save this one, I'm afraid

I'd be lying if I said it was the most amazing racing game I'd ever played, but it's kind of fun and I like that it lets you choose an animal to play as. And the tidbit with the giraffe was kinda funny XD

MegaMan, but with Contra/Metal-Slug style weapon pickups?! I'll take it!

WLCSoft responds:

Thanks! 😄

Not bad. Not amazing, but not bad. A decent Castlevania lookalike. Couldn't understand that character screen with the opening and closing cowl and the controls that aren't actually in the game and it took a few button presses to get the game to start. Seemed like that was a character select screen, but there weren't any other characters? That first boss is a real pain with the limited character mobility and how hard it is to hit things, but I guess that's intended to emulate the feel of early Castlevania games.

Elv13s responds:

thanks for checking it out, as stated in the description, this build is not final and yes theres another character, but only in the final build pf the game. the flicker is deliberate and it is actual gameboy controls. there is physical cart of the game but unfortunately, it is sold out and there are no plans to produce more of it. thanks for the playing, appreciate it lots!

I love the music in this game! The excellent ambience makes me want to keep playing, despite the fact that I'll probably never get past the 3rd stage XD The difficulty spikes a bit too much there.

ShogunPixelArt responds:

You'll do it, but I do agree the 3rd lv in 3rd biome is to hard for how early you encounter it. For my defense though this used to be the second from the last level in the jam version of the game and we simply ported it in without changing anything.

I don't know, man. Maybe I'm just not very good at it, but this game feels awkward. It's a novel concept, but it's not for me. I also wish that movement controls were assigned to the left side of the keyboard and attack controls on the right.

I like to draw. Mostly furry stuff. Open to commissions ranging from $30 to $60, as well as art trades.
