Not bad. Not amazing, but not bad. A decent Castlevania lookalike. Couldn't understand that character screen with the opening and closing cowl and the controls that aren't actually in the game and it took a few button presses to get the game to start. Seemed like that was a character select screen, but there weren't any other characters? That first boss is a real pain with the limited character mobility and how hard it is to hit things, but I guess that's intended to emulate the feel of early Castlevania games.

thanks for checking it out, as stated in the description, this build is not final and yes theres another character, but only in the final build pf the game. the flicker is deliberate and it is actual gameboy controls. there is physical cart of the game but unfortunately, it is sold out and there are no plans to produce more of it. thanks for the playing, appreciate it lots!

I love the music in this game! The excellent ambience makes me want to keep playing, despite the fact that I'll probably never get past the 3rd stage XD The difficulty spikes a bit too much there.

ShogunPixelArt responds:

You'll do it, but I do agree the 3rd lv in 3rd biome is to hard for how early you encounter it. For my defense though this used to be the second from the last level in the jam version of the game and we simply ported it in without changing anything.

I don't know, man. Maybe I'm just not very good at it, but this game feels awkward. It's a novel concept, but it's not for me. I also wish that movement controls were assigned to the left side of the keyboard and attack controls on the right.

I like the concept and the simplicity of this, but it's a bit laggy and glitchy. I can't even get past the tutorial.

Looks great, sounds great and has great gameplay, though controller support would definitely be appreciated, as playing on a keyboard is kind of a pain. The English dialogue could also use some improvement.

This game is really cute and fun, but I did notice the audio going out completely after playing for a few minutes. Even though I was at a checkpoint and the game was saved, reloading the page just brought me back to the start menu, with no Load Game option available. Also, I couldn't figure out how to progress after freeing the other kobolds from the dungeon, as there doesn't seem to be any way to get past those blue gates.

Simplistic and repetitive, yet strangely addictive! Why do the enemies only move when I do, though? It also feels like I'm going around in a circle over and over. Would be nice to have some different environments with different music and enemy types.

A lot of work and thought clearly went into this and I love the gameplay and visual effects!

Doesn't have the greatest ambience or sound quality and the controls could be better, but it's a neat game overall.

MrDoth responds:

Thanks for your review! For the sound quality you can adjust the volume on the pause menu!

Game doesn't work at all. Before Zero even appears on screen, he dies and then he dies again and again, until the lives run out and you get the game over screen.

I like to draw. Mostly furry stuff. Open to commissions ranging from $30 to $60, as well as art trades.
